Drying your paint

Expert modeler and contributing author Marcos Cruz is no stranger to regular readers of Scale Auto. His immaculate paint jobs and Bare-Metal foil work are inspirational, but he can also stew up clever low-tech solutions to modeling problems, like this one:

Tip:
Don’t have a dehydrator to dry and harden your paint? Wait for a warm, sunny day and put that freshly painted model in your car for a few hours.

Keep it under the seat or somewhere else where it won’t be in direct sunlight and your paint will bake just as it would in a regular dehydrator.
Of course, you’ll have to closely monitor the progress on really hot days, but the inside temperature can be adjusted somewhat by opening the windows a crack.
