Wet-sanding a model car body
Q: I'm a 41-year-old dad who needed a hobby to keep my sanity, so I bought my first model kit in 25+ years.
Right now I’m primarily interested in just building the body, because ultimately it will be used on a slot-car chassis.
When prepping the body for paint, I will be attempting wet-sanding for the first time.
I've watched several instructional videos, and some just use water and a fine sandpaper; some put a little dish soap on the sandpaper as well.
I was wondering if the soap should or should not be used.
Thanks again, and it looks like your magazine will be full of tips to help me along the way.
