Make a paint mixer

Tip: I have always used, and will continue to use, Testor’s enamels and sprays. I prefer to stir the bottles using the “stirred, not shaken” method.

To do this, I take a piece of sprue with a 90-degree “cross sprue” (forming a T) and make the “handle” at least three inches long, The ends of the T should be trimmed so they will just fit in the bottle.

Simply insert the inverted T into the jar, and spin. The T can be used to scrape the sides and the bottom of the bottle.

This method always makes for perfectly mixed paints, no matter how old the jar. I always have several of these Ts close by the paint station. The best part is, they’re cheap! Recycle some sprue and make a mixer!
