Masking tape eating into paint

RELATED TOPICS: paint
Q: I have a problem with Tamiya masking tape eating into Tamiya paint. I primered a body with Mr. Surfacer, and let it cure for a day. I then airbrushed Tamiya X-4 blue, cut 30 percent with Tamiya thinner, and let it cure for four days at 70 degrees F. I masked the body with Tamiya masking tape and blue painter's tape, and sprayed Tamiya TS-19 metallic blue. When I removed the tape, the Tamiya tape had left a textured impression of the tape in the paint. The blue painter's tape didn't. What gives? Any advice?
