Cons: Plug-wire fit

Sporting the wickedly cool shaker hood scoop, this stock-configuration Plymouth Hemi is the latest addition to the excellent line of 1/6 scale engines flying under the Revell-Monogram flag.

The level of detail and the overall fit and finish is very good; I found no major challenges while constructing it.

The block and headers are painted metal; everything else is painted, plated, or color-molded plastic. The 100+ pieces are organized in clear bags, and the instruction sheet is easy to follow.

I was pleasantly surprised to find no fit problems when I screwed the block to the base and the heads to the block - the first time that I haven't had that problem with one of these kits.

The paint and chrome plating are excellent. I especially like the satin finish applied to the valve covers.

The belts are a bit cheesy, though, because they are simply rounded-edge black rubber bands; at least they fit well.

Also on the downside, I found the fit of the spark plug wires was poor. They were either too short or too long for a proper appearance and fit.

I recommend this to any modeler as a nice break to their normal modeling routine. Besides, it sure looks nice on your shelf of favorite Mopars.
