Wisconsin modeler likes to build muscle cars

Chris Juno
Chris Juno lives in Clyman, Wisconsin.
I've had a love for all things automotive for as long as I can remember. I built my first model when I was 10 years old because I wanted to know why my older brother's models broke so easily when I played with them and why he got so mad about it.

My first model was a Revell Sundance Express 1929 Ford pickup. Even with my brother's help, it turned out horrible because I didn't follow his instructions. From then on I was hooked!

I quit building models for a short time after high school because I thought I was too old for them. I started building again in my mid-20s, but I thought I was one of the only adults building models.

I moved from Hobbs, New Mexico to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While checking out the local hobby shops, I found a flyer for the Auto Modelers Group. The encouragement, tips and techniques, and friendships I have gained from this club are invaluable. If you like my models and my work, I owe it all to them.

My favorite models and cars are from the 1930s, 1940s, 1960s, and early 1970s, and stock or slightly modified Day Two cars (what it might have looked like after the original buyer brought it home from the dealer and personalized it).

I'm lazy when it comes to engine and chassis detail because that's not what I saw while growing up. When cars drove by, I saw the lines and shapes of the bodies. That's what I like to recapture in my models.
