LEDs or incandescent bulbs?

Q: I’ve been building car models for many years, and one of my favorite things has been installing working lights.

As an “old guy,” I’m used to using 1.5-volt minibulbs for headlights, interior lights, etc. But lately I’ve been hearing a lot about LEDs. Are there any advantages to using LEDs over conventional low-voltage incandescent bulbs? Thanks.
