Breaking down old glue
Published:
October 1, 2007 | Q: I was given a 1/25 scale Sox & Martin "Boss Cuda" JoHan kit. It's unpainted but partially assembled, with that old glue that turned yellow. The chrome valve covers and carbs are glued on, too. I have two questions: 1) How can I tell how old this kit is? 2) How can I break the old glue down so I can paint the parts? The kit is in excellent condition otherwise, and I don't want to ruin it.
