Applying paint

Q: Whenever I use Testor's spray cans to paint a model, when I get to the second coat, the paint comes out grainy and the body gets orange peel. To fix that, I always have to put on just one coat, and it has to be heavy. I clean the nozzle and prepare the surface as I should. What am I doing wrong?
