Rousing rapture for some modelers and blank stares from others, Trumpeter continues cleaving to controversy by kitting a 1978 Monte Carlo. But where previous Trumpeter car models have exhibited stratospheric parts counts, agreeable fit, and some obvious proportioning gaffes, this latest 166-piece opus rewards a two-year wait with a departure on all counts, for better and worse.
